On Saturday 21st September, we had an amazing gentleman visiting Paruna and the Browns Well Tavern... John from RM Williams. John is a veteran journalist and has been writing for the RM Williams magazine since its inception 25 years ago. Before that he was a foreign correspondent with the Time Magazine covering Asia and the Pacific and he was a European correspondent based in London for the Australian Associated Press.
John was in the area collecting informant about the tavern and the work being done by Publicans Annmarie and Dino to provide the Browns Well community with a worthwhile centre to socialise, dine and have a convivial drink with neighbours and friends.
The story will be published in the RM Williams publication Outback in its Christmas edition issue in late November. It will cover the early days of licensing in the town and noted the changes since we opened which has seen meals served weekends totalling more than 200 now compared to zero a couple of years ago.
